51. Buffy the Vampire Slayer (dir. Fran Rubel Kuzui, USA, 1992)
Cheerleader Buffy (Kristy Swanson) discovers that she is the “Slayer”, a chosen one meant to fight the vampires.
So, today I became probably the first person since 1997 to see this film without having seen a single episode of the much more successful TV series of Buffy the Vampire Slayer which ran under creator Joss Whedon’s control for 7 seasons. Whedon wrote this film but later disowned it. It’s not very good. But I enjoyed it a lot. Very ’90s.
Verdict: OMG - like - yeah!
