Addendum to previous ramble:
1. Apologies to Sofia Coppola. I really like LOST IN TRANSLATION. Haven’t seen any of her other movies.
2. Diablo Cody is making her directorial debut this year (in addition to writing the reboots of both SWEET VALLEY HIGH and THE EVIL DEAD (what a combo)). JUNO is a fantastic film, and her script for YOUNG ADULT (directed by Juno director Jason Reitman) has been pretty much universally praised. Young Adult hasn’t been released yet in the UK, I don’t think. If it has, it hasn’t come here yet. I can’t wait to see it. (haven’t seen JENNIFER’S BODY, but I’m considering blind-buying the DVD soon.)
