A documentary about the ordeal of Dieter Dengler, a German-American pilot shot down over Laos in the Vietnam war. (Herzog later fictionalised this story into Rescue Dawn, which you might recall I watched earlier this year.)
A touching documentary about a very humble man who appreciates just how fortunate he is to be alive.
Verdict: “death did not want him” - excellent
